FROM THE DESK OF JOE DOKES, CLU was a monthly satire that began appearing on the back page of the national industry publication Agents Sales Journal in April of 2006.
The feature is a parody of communications between fictional insurance agent Joe Dokes and the different business entities that poor Mr. Dokes must deal with in the modern insurance universe. Some of them are absolutely laugh out loud funny, although perhaps only because they have a certain rather unsettling ring of truth to them!
